The current Board of Trustees is comprised of Jerry Blank, Andy Blank, Kathleen Blank, Kathy Kramer-Martin, and Robert Frehling.
Jerome (Jerry) Blank, Chairman – Jerry Blank graduated from the University of Miami in 1949 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree. Upon graduation Jerry joined the family’s beer distributorship where he served in many capacities, until 1960 when he became President and CEO. Under his stewardship National Brands became the largest beer distributor in the world. In 1984, the distributorship was sold and National Brands became a professional services organization, where he serves as Chairman of the Board.
Jerry has served his community with distinction. Jerry was a Founder and member of the Board of Trustees of the Miami Jewish Home & Hospital for the Aged and Mt. Sinai Medical Center. He continues to serve as a member of the Leadership Council of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, of which his father, Sam, was a Founder.
Jerry previously served on the Boards of Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, St. Thomas University, U.S. Ski Education Foundation and as a member of the Whitney Gallery of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.
Andrew (Andy) Scott Blank, President – A third-generation Miamian, Andy serves on the Executive Committee of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. He was the Chairman of the Florida Public Service Commission Nominating Council, Chairman of the Miami-Dade Community College Foundation, Chairman of the Miami-Dade Community College Presidential Search Committee and was selected by Florida Trend Magazine as an “Up and Comer” Award Winner.
Andy is President of WareITis Technologies, LLC, (wareitis.com) which has developed the foremost enterprise level content management software suite called Records Studio.
Andy is also President of Archive America, Inc., (archiveamerica.com) a full-service, off-site records management company. Archive America is the largest family-owned document storage firm in the U.S. with locations in Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Boston, Worcester, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Additionally, Andy is President of Seaboard Warehouse Terminals (seaboardwarehouse.com), Seaboard Warehouse Terminals, Seaboard Chicago Terminals, and Seaboard Tampa Terminals, Inc. Seaboard provides third party logistics, including bonded warehousing, transportation & delivery, and contract storage services to manufacturers and sales organizations that require storage and distribution services for their products throughout the US.
Andy also serves as President of National Brands, Inc., a family administration and investment group. Prior to the divestiture of its beer operations, National Brands (under the leadership of three generations of Blank family) was the largest Anheuser-Busch beer distributor in the world.
Kathleen Blank – Kathleen studied Biology and Chemistry at the University of Minnesota and Florida International University. She was a member of the University of Minnesota Varsity Gymnastics Team. She also studied and danced professionally with several modern dance and ballet companies, including Ozone, Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham, Minnesota Dance Theater, The Children’s Theater Company, and The Joffrey Ballet in New York City.
Kathleen has had lifelong passions for literacy and the arts, and has volunteered and served on community boards supporting both causes. She spends her free time competing in cycling, triathlon, and Iron Man endurance events.
Kathy Kramer-Martin – Kathy is a former special education teacher who worked in Miami-Dade County. Her interests include boating, needlepoint, investments and community service organizations. She is a native Miamian who attended high school in Elgin, Illinois. She graduated from Florida International University, and received her Masters degree from Biscayne College. Kathy enjoys boating and spends her summers on the water.
